Diploma

It is the student’s responsibility to submit the required documentation to the Program Office for the diploma issuance process. The diploma can only be requested after the thesis/dissertation submission has been approved by the University Library (BU).

Original documentation must be sent by email to ppgese@contato.ufsc.br
in PDF format and presented at the Program Office for verification (or a notarized copy may be sent by email):

  • Undergraduate diploma, front and back (in a single PDF file);
  • Birth or marriage certificate;
  • Identification document (RG or Driver’s License).

After verifying the authenticity of the documents, the Program Office will open the diploma issuance process and will contact the student when the diploma is ready for collection.

Diploma issuance timeframe: up to 60 days after the process has been opened.

Diploma Collection

The diploma must be collected by the document holder at the UFSC Joinville Graduate Program Office, upon presentation of an identification document. If the holder is unable to collect it personally, they must inform in advance by email to ppgese@contato.ufsc.br
the name and ID number of the person authorized to collect it.

IDENTIFICATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – The following identity documents are accepted:
• Identification from the country of origin;
• RNE (National Foreigner Registry) or National Migration Registration Card;
• Passport.

✓ All documents must be valid at the time of registration and updated in the CAPG system by the program.
✓ Proof of the student’s legal stay in Brazil is required for the entire duration of the course.

DIPLOMA OBTAINED ABROAD
✓ Diploma: Copy of the diploma (front and back), duly revalidated (undergraduate diploma) or recognized (graduate diploma) by a Higher Education Institution in Brazil; or
✓ Diploma: Copy of the diploma (front and back) + Declaration: If the diploma presented has not been revalidated or recognized in Brazil, the Program Coordination must issue a declaration, to be submitted together with the copy of the diploma, stating that the diploma was accepted exclusively for the purpose of admission to the program, without national validity and without granting professional practice rights (CONTACT THE PROGRAM OFFICE).
