Enrollment Procedures
First Enrollment of Regular Students
The first enrollment is carried out according to the instructions sent to the incoming student via the e-mail address provided during the selection process. The enrollment tutorial in CAPG is available at this link. The enrollment deadline follows the Academic Calendar, together with the other regular students.
In case of any questions, the incoming student should contact the program’s office in person or by e-mail at ppgese@contato.ufsc.br.
Enrollment Renewal
Re-enrollment must be carried out every quarter (according to the academic calendar), online, through CAPG. For instructions, click here.
Remarks:
- Pay attention not to enroll in courses with the same code as courses already completed, except in cases where you really wish to retake the course. In case of doubt, please contact the program’s office before submitting the enrollment request.
- Students who have already completed all course credits and/or are in an extension period must enroll in Dissertation, so that they are not left without enrollment for the quarter. The 6 credits assigned to the dissertation will only be counted at the end of the program, with the record of the defense.
- Courses offered in the quarter: https://ppgese.joinville.ufsc.br/horario/
- Academic calendar: https://ppgese.joinville.ufsc.br/calendario/
- The course TEACHING INTERNSHIP (for CAPES scholarship holders) is not available in the list of courses when the student makes their request. Those who wish to enroll in this course must prepare a work plan for the teaching internship (template available here) and send it to the program’s e-mail (ppgese@contato.ufsc.br) within the deadline set in the academic calendar for enrollment. Before starting to fill out the teaching internship request form, we recommend reading carefully the instructions available at https://ppgese.joinville.ufsc.br/estagio-de-docencia/.
ATTENTION! If you are not taking any regular courses, you still need to enroll in Dissertation, to comply with Article 55, item I of Normative Resolution nº 154/2021/CUn, of October 4, 2021:
Art. 55. The student will have their enrollment automatically canceled and will be dismissed from the graduate program in the following situations:
I – when failing to enroll for two consecutive terms, without being under a leave of absence;
II – if failing two courses;
III – if failing the dissertation or thesis examination; or
IV – when exceeding the maximum deadline for program completion.
Sole paragraph. The student will be granted the right of defense, within up to 15 (fifteen) business days, in the situations defined above, counted from the date of official notification.
For any questions, please contact the program’s office.
Enrollment Adjustment
Within the period defined in the Academic Calendar, the student may request the cancellation of enrollment in one or more courses they no longer wish to attend in that quarter. If the student cancels all enrolled courses, the office will enroll them in Dissertation, so that the student is not left without enrollment for the quarter.
